The question asked is how often should I submit my site to the search engines. Well the answer is: every engine is different and use different algorithms than each other, so there is no fit to all search engine rule, but the rule of thumb opinion is, that if you submit about once every 6 weeks then it should be alright.
Some search engines allow you to submit every page of your web site and others only submit your home page. So it is important to read the rules of every search engine before you submit.
It will also pay you to optimize your pages before you submit so that your site can obtain a high ranking. Do some research of key words or key word phrases and pick one that has been used most often by people searching.
Put this specific keyword or phrase first in your keywords tag, it should also be as close as possible to the start of your title and description. In your key words tag put another 3 to 6 keywords of high ranking.
When you write your page, put your specific key word high in your body copy, use it roughly 2 or 3 times if you can fit it into your sentences logically. Sprinkle your general keywords through out your page and include your specific keyword towards the bottom of the page.
Use a different specific keyword that matches the topic of each page and use different general keywords on each page.
